The Sushi Platter

The Sushi Platter restaurant project began with a blank slate and an eagerness to create a space that was both functional and visually stunning. To achieve this, the we conducted extensive research into the brand's offerings, as well as the new location and demographics.

Drawing inspiration from a Japanese manga character named Rika, we developed a concept that was centered around her lively personality and love of food, music, and socialising. The design was a fusion of Japanese and local influences, which was reflected in the interior design and overall ambiance of the space.

After developing a proposed floor plan and initial look and feel, we refined and further developed the concept while working through the building consent process. Once the consent was granted, the construction phase began, and we collaborated closely with The Fit Out Company to ensure the design was executed to perfection.

We carefully selected materials and finishes that would fit with the theme, ensuring that durability and functionality were not compromised. Attention to detail was given to elements such as the mural, and menu displays to maintain consistency with the overall concept.
